Forest Grove in Washington County - is located about 45 minutes west of downtown Portland.  Forest Grove is home to Pacific University a private college offering 52 undergraduate majors in the College of Arts and Sciences. We also offer doctorates in optometry, professional psychology, pharmacy and physical therapy, and master's degrees in occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, and education.  Forest Grove has a nice sized quaint downtown area with homes around it from turn of the century to mid century on 7K-10K lots, with neighborhoods further out with homes of the 70´s to now on smaller lots, the newer the home the smaller the lot.  As with most Portland cities the majority of homes built after the mid 80´s are two or more levels on smaller lots, the newer the home the smaller the lot. Due to the cost of housing there are not many condo/townhouse options available.  While Forest Grove doesn´t have any of the big hitter retail stores, it is only a 10 minute ride to Hillsboro shopping.  Forest Grove has Forest Glen Park, Talisman Park, Lincoln Park, Rogers Park, Bard Park, Joseph Gale Park and Fern Hill Wetlands preserve and a 2 minute drive out of Forest Grove puts you in the country.
