SouthEast (SE) Portland Neighborhoods
Laurelhurst in Multnomah County - is south of Hollywood and Rose City Park on the south side of I-84. A grand neighborhood of similar flavor to Irvington, there are quite a few mansions with brick and stone on large mature landscaped lots as well as little bungalows with quaint front porches and everything in between and most on large city lots of 7-9K making it one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Portland. Laurelhurst also has it´s own namesake park with large mature trees and it´s own lake. You will find craftsman and Old Portland style homes are the main architectural styles here and while the area has grown expensive, the trade off is character and a short 10 minute commute to downtown Portland.
