North (N) Portland Neighborhoods

St Johns in Multnomah County - is located at the far north end of Portland, nestled by the Willamette River before it spills into the mighty Columbia River.  The St Johns area landmark is the unique St Johns Bridge located at the south end of the small old town area and near the Portland area freight piers.  Considered the last area of affordable living over the last couple of years, the area has experienced a resurgence, as new homeowners are opting for St Johns.  These first time home buyers are fixing up the 30´s, 40´s and 50´s bungalows on city sized lots of 4-5K as the older homeowners leave the area. Pier Park with it´s large lawn and picnic area and pool are a neighborhood favorite.  St Johns is a quick 12 minute commute to downtown Portland and 15-30 minute commute to Beaverton and Hillsboro respectively.
